Senior Manager (Philanthropy and Social Investment)

A Senior Manager (Philanthropy and Social Investment) sought for a Gibraltar based Foundation to lead the organisation’s charitable and impact initiatives, identifying, assessing, and managing philanthropic projects and social investments across the UK, Gibraltar, Europe, and selected international regions, with a focus on health, environment, humanitarian aid, and community welfare. As Senior Manager, Philanthropy and Social Investment you will work with partner organisations to deliver the current major high impact projects within the outlined key areas of strategic focus.

The role can be based in Gibraltar or London, if London based, candidates will be required to travel regularly to Gibraltar, this is the location of the Head Quarters for the Foundation.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Identifying high-potential projects within the geographical scope and project focus
  • Prepare a fully researched “business plan” for each project for Board approval
  • Review and implement other donations or investments as indicated by the Board
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and follow-up of funded projects to ensure impact, compliance, and effective reporting
  • Conducting thorough due diligence on partner organisations, grant applications, project proposals and investments
  • Building strong relationships with key partners
  • Impact assessment
  • Development of internal structures and policies
  • Communication with all stakeholders.

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role

  • Experience in philanthropy, grant-making, or social investment
  • Degree educated, strong school education to ‘A’
  • Keen analytical and research capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial acumen
