Compliance Manager to join an industry established Insurance Company with a base in Gibraltar. The company has a wide-reaching presence in the general insurance industry covering motor and other personal lines insurance. The successful Compliance Manager will have a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience, ideally have worked with the GFSC or FCA and be able to work alongside the current senior team in Gibraltar to maintain a rigorous compliance framework.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Coordinate and lead the preparation of the annual Compliance Plan and quarterly compliance reports for presentation to the Risk Committee.
  • Track and analyse legislative developments in Gibraltar, making certain that any updates are clearly and accurately communicated to all stakeholders and effectively implemented where required.
  • Maintaining current processes to confirm compliance with Group Policies.
  • Support the supervision of insurance intermediaries and assess related MI reports.
  • Review current compliance procedures and propose enhancements to optimise their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Foster and manage effective relationships with stakeholders, including insurance intermediaries.
  • Support regulatory change projects.
  • Manage the existing Compliance Executives and provide appropriate compliance training to the team.

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role

  • Compliance experience within a General Insurance firm (either Gibraltar or UK) or at least a minimum of 5 year’s compliance General Insurance experience within a Gibraltar financial service regulated industry.
  • A strong knowledge of GFSC and good working knowledge of FCA regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative and effective relationships internally and externally
  • Outstanding attention to detail and a keen analytical approach, coupled with strong organisational skills and resilience.
  • Capable of independently managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a proactive manner, while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
