Experienced Compliance Officer sought to work part-time 4 hours per week to join an established business headquartered in Gibraltar. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, international environment. As the Compliance Office,
your key role will be to keep internal policies and procedures up to date and liaise with the Gibraltar Regulator and the MLRO. Proven experience of Gibraltar AML, KYC/CDD, compliance regulations and sanctions is essential. Some legal background would be advantageous.

What You Will Be Doing
- Manage relationships with regulators and external auditors
- Develop and update internal policies (AML, GDPR) under the MLRO supervision
- Promote a culture of compliance and ethical practice across the firm
- Complete on boarding checks
- Collect and verify client identification documents (KYC/CDD)
- Organise and maintain client compliance records
- Gather and review source of funds documentation
- Flag unusual or incomplete information for escalation
- Assist with file audits, prepare documentation for audits and regulatory reviews
- Conduct sanctions and PEPs checks on line
- Prepare internal suspicious activity reports (drafts)
- Coordinate compliance training and maintain training logs
- Log complaints and compliance breaches
- Meeting MLRO regularly re transactions and steps to follow re due diligence
- Contacting clients re due diligence either by email, phone or personal meetings
- Risk Assessments
- Provide day to day compliance support
- To be the primary point of contact with internal and external auditors for compliance matters
- Preparation and presentation of compliance reports
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
- Experience working within the legal sector or a similarly regulated environment
- Previous experience in a Compliance Department
- Word and Excel skills
- Excellent organisational skills, with a proven ability to prioritise workloads and consistently meet deadlines
- Sound knowledge of Gibraltar AML, compliance regulations and sanctions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
