Finance Assistant sort to support the Finance Director for an expanding commercial company based in Gibraltar. The Finance Assistant will be responsible for all key areas of bookkeeping including invoicing, suppliers and reconciliations work. The company will be managing several new projects so the role will grow across the next year.
The ideal candidate would be a graduate or an “A” level school leaver with some work experience and strong excel skills. You will ideally hold a relevant Finance Degree or similar or AAT or ACCA part qualified. You must be living locally to Gibraltar and ideally have a Gibraltar residency card.

What You Will Be Doing
- Produce and manage all invoices, be a key contact for sales invoices and liaise as required with suppliers.
- Reconcile suppliers’ statements.
- Manage the aged debtors and creditors listing.
- Maintain folders with the records of invoices and receipts of the customers.
- Bank and cash reconciliations.
- Support month end process.
- Using Excel daily to assist with accounting processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of Xero and QuickBooks would be useful as used daily.
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
- Educated to Degree or mid-level or hold the equivalent in finance or accounting, AAT, ACCA or similar.
- Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role would be ideal
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Database Reporting.
- English is essential
- Excellent written and verbal communications and attention to detail.
- Good analytical, reporting and spreadsheet skills on Excel.
- Attention to detail and pride in work output.
- Ability to work under pressure at certain times.
- Team player with the ability to work at all levels in the organisation.
