Finance Manager required to join an established insurance company based in Gibraltar. The role will be managing a small team of junior staff and reporting to the Finance Director. You will also have direct contact with the wider UK based Finance team for completion of reporting and review-based work. The Finance Manager will be qualified ACA, ACCA and be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge of month end reporting, reinsurance statements and financial performance reporting.

What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the month-end financial reporting process which includes drafting accounts for the company and its relevant subsidiaries.
- Prepare all accounting working papers including all insurance technical account transactions, and reinsurance balances.
- Prepare and deliver monthly Reinsurance statements.
- Provide quarterly data to the pricing, and actuarial teams for loss ratio review purposes.
- On a quarterly basis, prepare the accounting journals for all current year and prior year development outcomes from actuarial reviews, including current year pricing loss ratio development.
- Preparation and drafting of financial statements.
- Manage the day-to-day finance operations.
- Manage the outsourced claims reconciliation function.
- Manage the treasury function including accounts payable.
- Mentor and supervise financial team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Review monthly subsidiary postings, and monthly business update packs.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for Board and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive financial efficiency and accountability.
- Assist with reviewing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Lead on external financial audits and coordinate with auditors as necessary.
- Lead on Internal Audit cycles and coordinate with auditors as necessary.
- Work with the actuarial team for reserving review purposes. Provide data and collaborating to achieve reserve review outcomes.
- Member of the Investment Committee and Secretary of the Audit Committee.
- Attendee of the Reserving Committee and Risk and Compliance Committee.
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
- Educated to degree level and ACA / ACCA.
- 1 to 2 years of management experience.
- Insurance experience is ideal but not a necessity as training will be provided.
- Team player but also willing to work without supervision
