Head of Finance

Hiring a Head of Finance to join a tech focussed, fast-growing Insurance company in Gibraltar. The role has been created due to Company growth and will report to and work alongside the CEO and CFO. Candidates must be qualified ACA, ACCA or similar with at least 10 years PQE. As Head of Finance, you will thrive in a high growth environment, have worked in the Insurance sector or Insurance Audit.

A “seasoned” Insurance professional is sought. The role will require approval by the Gibraltar Regulator.

What You Will Be Doing

• Deep knowledge of motor insurance accounting and reporting as well as Solvency II and other regulatory reporting a bonus.
• NetSuite experience would be useful.
• Working knowledge of Insurtech financial metrics and reporting such as LTV, CAC.
• You can think strategically but diving deep into the detail is a key skill you possess.
• Manage a small Finance team.
• You enjoy problem-solving and proactively creating innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Highly adaptable to change and will take ownership to get things done.
• Excited about working in a company that focuses on and believes in the importance of feedback.
• In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. Insurance and financial services, re-insurance and quota sharing).

What you will need to succeed in This Role

• Fully qualified accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar from the Insurance industry or Insurance audit.
• 10+ year PQE.
• Data driven, excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and action orientated.
• Enjoy building out new processes and operations.
• Have excellent communication skills and good networking and influencing skills.
• Agile and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• NetSuite experience would be a bonus.
• Experience implementing a financial system or software.
• Self-motivated, require minimum of supervision and be capable of strategically prioritising multiple tasks.
• Passionate about collaboration and ensuring all stakeholders are successful.
• Proven experience as Head of Finance/Director or equivalent position within general insurance.
