IT Support Specialist sought to join a growing commercial office based in Gibraltar. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for offering support through various channels such as phone, email, and in-person and identifying and resolving hardware and software issues. It is ideal that you speak both Spanish and English, hold a valid driving licence and be flexible regarding working hours in case of emergencies.

What You Will Be Doing
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve hardware and software issues. Provide timely solutions to ensure minimal disruption.
- Technical Assistance: Offer support through various channels such as phone, email, and in-person. Assist users with software installations, configurations, and updates.
- System Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on computer systems and networks. Monitor system performance and perform necessary updates.
- User Training: Educate users on software applications and best practices. Deliver training sessions to enhance user proficiency and reduce recurring issues.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations. Maintain accurate documentation for future reference and problem-solving.
- Network Management: Oversee network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Ensure reliable network operations and address any network-related problems.
- Security: Implement security protocols to protect data and systems. Respond to and manage security threats or breaches, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
- Technical Skills: Expertise in operating systems (365, Net2, Suprema), hardware components, and software applications. Familiarity with networking and cybersecurity principles.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Capability to troubleshoot and provide effective solutions under pressure.
- Communication Skills: Extremely confident, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical users.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective support and documentation.
- Organisational Skills: Efficiently manage multiple tasks and support requests. Maintain well-organized records and documentation to ensure smooth operations.
- Education and experience: A Degree in Information Technology or a related field is often preferred.
- Customer Service Skills: Provide high-quality customer service with problem solving approach with the ability to travel to meet the business needs.
