IT Technician required to take day-to-day ownership of the infrastructure and end-user support across our three offices. You’ll be based in Gibraltar, where the majority of our staff are based. You will also support colleagues in Spain and Portugal remotely. The IT Technician role is a hands-on, broad role. On any given day you might be building out a Group Policy change, tightening an Intune compliance policy, sorting out a mailbox issue, and helping someone get their mobile working before a client meeting. If you like variety and want visible ownership of a whole environment rather than one narrow slice of it, this will suit you.
Please note: Spanish and English is required
What’s on offer to you?
- Competitive salary and flexible hours.
- The opportunity to work in a vibrant, collaborative, and forward-thinking company.
- Work with a long standing Gibraltar organisation
What You Will Be Doing
- Administering our Windows Server estate, managing Active Directory, and designing, testing and rolling out Group Policy across the business.
- Running Exchange Online and email administration, managing device and application security through Intune, and administering SharePoint and Microsoft Teams — permissions, site structure, governance and day-to-day changes.
- Acting as the first and second line for all staff. Hands-on support for the Gibraltar office, remote support for Spain and Portugal, covering builds, imaging, software deployment, hardware and troubleshooting.
- Owning the firm’s telephony and mobile estate end to end — provisioning, contracts and suppliers, device enrolment, tariffs and troubleshooting.
- Maintaining firewalls, VPN and remote access, endpoint protection, patching and access control. Keeping remote connectivity between the three offices secure and reliable.
- Keeping infrastructure, configuration and process documentation current, so the environment is understood by more than one person.
- Ad hoc Administration in support of the Administration team
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
- Solid Windows Server administration experience, including Active Directory and Group Policy design and rollout
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration: Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint and Teams
- Proven desktop support experience with users at all levels of technical confidence
- Practical network security knowledge — firewalls, VPN, endpoint protection, patching
- Experience supporting remote sites, not just the office you sit in
- Clear written English and the discipline to document your work properly
- Experience managing mobile and telephony estates and supplier relationships
- Microsoft certifications (MD-102, AZ-800, MS-102 or equivalent)
- Spanish
- Experience in a regulated or professional services environment
