Lawyer

Lawyer required for an established Trust Administration company based in Gibraltar. As a commercially focussed Lawyer you will ideally be 2 years PQE and be used to formulating complex contractual agreements across multi jurisdictions. The role will work alongside the Senior Compliance Team and support in any associated matters. The successful Lawyer will have contact daily with Senior Managers and Partners and deal with various third parties including banks and financial institutions, the ideal candidate would have some experience in the Financial Services sector.

What You Will Be Doing 

• Drafting complex English law commercial and finance contracts, covering multi jurisdictions and cross border legal implications 

• Ensuring all documentation conforms with corporate governance and regulatory compliance in the relevant jurisdictions 

• Liaising with international financial institutions and banks as required ensuring compliance in all areas 

• Risk management concerning commercial contracts 

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role 

• Commercially focussed, UK qualified lawyer with 2 years PQE 

• Experience with drafting complex English law commercial and finance contracts, knowledge of corporate governance, and regulatory compliance 

• Work experience in a financial organisation or similar sector 

• Strong compliance / AML knowledge 

• Fluency in English (fluency in languages other than English is desirable) 

• Strong, proven relationships with international banks and other counterparties 

• Expertise in the overview and management of international banking compliance and risk management 

• Cross-border and multi-jurisdictional experience
