Management Accountant

Management Accountant sought for a long-established and reputable commercial business in Gibraltar. The Management Accountant will be responsible for month end closing and monthly reporting packs using advanced Excel skills. The role reports to the Financial Controller on site. The business uses Sage X3 but training can be provided. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years in a similar role and can be qualified or near qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA or near qualifying at level 3 or 4.

What You Will Be Doing 

• Performing month end closing tasks 

• Posting accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and other journals 

• Balance sheet reconciliations, control and reporting 

• Cost analysis and control 

• Preparation of monthly management accounts 

• Preparation of monthly reporting packs 

• Accuracy and completeness of data interfaces and overall data integrity 

• Understanding data and process flow and solving any related issues  

• Business analysis and reporting 

• Involvement in new system developments and projects 

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role 

• Near to (Level 3 or 4) or qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA  

• Medium level Excel skills for cost analysis reporting 

• Ideally but not essential Sage X3 skills but training can be provided 

• Strong attention to detail 

• Appreciate the importance of achieving deadlines 

• Team player
