Management Accountant for a commercial company based in the thriving jurisdiction of Gibraltar. The Management Accountant is responsible for supporting the Finance Director and Senior Management Accountant in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting support, project costing and financial analysis across the business. The role plays a key part in monitoring financial performance and reporting. The Management Accountant will work closely with project teams and other departments to ensure the accurate recording and reporting of costs, revenues, and work in progress (WIP). This role reports directly to the Senior Management Accountant (or Finance Director, when applicable).

What You Will Be Doing
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and supporting schedules.
- Produce regular financial reports and management information within agreed deadlines.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Provide supporting analysis to explain variances and trends.
- Analyse departmental and project costs against budgets.
- Investigate and report significant variances.
- Assist in identifying opportunities for cost control and operational efficiencies.
- Monitor project expenditure and revenue against approved budgets.
- Prepare project cost analysis reports and support Work in Progress calculations.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports to support management decision-making.
- Provide financial data and performance metrics for operational reviews.
- Support the Senior Management Accountant with ad hoc financial reporting.
- Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting.
- Support the management of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist with effective working capital management.
- Participate in finance-related projects to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Assist with the preparation of information required for statutory and tax returns.
- Provide financial information and analysis as requested by the Senior Management.
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing and oversight.
- Preparation of monthly and ad hoc payment runs.
- Petty cash and bank reconciliations.
- Project costing duties relating to repairs and conversion projects.
- Project cost analysis and WIP reporting.
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
- Qualified accounting professional (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good understanding of management accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in marine repairs, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based industries ideal.
- Experience with project costing and WIP accounting ideal.
- Knowledge of ERP or integrated accounting systems.
