Senior Management Accountant required to join an established insurance company based in Gibraltar. The role will report to the Finance Director on site but also work alongside the UK Team. You will be a recently qualified ACA or ACCA with ideally some exposure to Audit having worked for financial service institutions or highly regulated companies. As Senior Management Accountant you will be focussed on technical month end duties and reporting.

What You Will Be Doing
- Manage the month-end financial reporting process which include drafting accounts for the company.
- Prepare all accounting working papers including all insurance technical account transactions, and reinsurance balances.
- Prepare and deliver monthly Reinsurance statements.
- Provide quarterly data to the pricing and Actuarial teams for loss ratio review purposes.
- On a quarterly basis, prepare the accounting journals for all current year and prior year development outcomes from Actuarial reviews.
- Manage the day-to-day finance operations.
- Prepare monthly business update packs.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to drive financial efficiency and accountability.
- Assisting with reviewing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Analyse financial data such as change in loss ratios and provide insights for decision-making.
- Full Payment process including payment orders, EQ payments, cheques etc.
- Preparation of Cashbooks.
- Postings of invoices to Sage (via Cashbook Function).
- Perform Sage Bank Reconciliations.
- Liquidity updates to Finance team.
- Aid the Finance Manager on external financial audits and coordinate with auditors.
- Work with the actuarial team for reserving review purposes. Provided data and collaborating to achieve reserve review outcomes.
- Member of the Investment Committee
- Member and Secretary of the Audit Committee.
- Assist with project work for the company and wider group, when required.
What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role
- 1 year post qualified experience (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) or nearly qualified.
- Financial services experience is an advantage but not a necessity.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work at a pace but with accuracy.
- Used to adhering to strict reporting deadlines.
- Strong reporting skills including Excel and other reporting tools.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
