Technical Description Writer, the role will be responsible for crafting precise and detailed descriptions of services and projects delivered by our consultancy client in the IT, online/digital sector to its international customers. It will require a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of services offered and the ability to clearly communicate these details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. As the Technical Description Writer, youwill understand key contract law principles, including intellectual property matters and data privacy. 

What’s on offer to you? 

  • Remote working is offered, applicants must live in the EU to apply (any application that does not meet this criteria will not receive a response)
  • 1 week per quarter will be required to spend in Malaga to attend the office
  • Competitive salary offered that will be reviewed post probation (3 months)

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Create detailed service descriptions that clearly outline the scope, deliverables, methodologies, and timelines of consultancy projects.
  • Ensure that all technical documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and easy to understand for clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, project managers, and consultants to gather all necessary details about services and projects.
  • Develop and maintain a standardized template or format for all project and service documentation to ensure consistency across all company outputs.
  • Update and refine documentation practices as needed to keep pace with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Adjust documentation based on feedback to better meet the needs of clients and project teams.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all technical descriptions and project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Address any discrepancies or gaps in information, and revise documents as necessary.
  • Prepare and present reports to stakeholders about the status of the documentation.

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role 

  • Medium to high level proficiency in English language.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical writing or documentation, preferably in a consultancy or project-based environment.
  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand complex project details and translate them into clear, actionable documents.
  • Understand contract law principles and industry-specific terms, intellectual property and data privacy are key areas
  • Has relevant experience in sectors like IT, marketing, or finance, enhancing project insight and documentation relevance.
  • Proficient in documentation and presentation software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and potentially Reporting software like MS Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Extremely high level of accuracy and confidentiality
